FIC: Day of Fire and Sun - Charles/Erik, XMFC - (3/7)

Title: Day of Fire and Sun (3/7)
Author: Regann
Pairing: Charles/Erik (XMFC)
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: ~4,300 for the chapter (total: 40,000+)
Warnings: none
Disclaimer: I don't own anything; I just play with them.
Notes: The best way to describe the setting of this fic is that it's a Space AU heavily influenced by the worldbuilding of the TV show Andromeda, although many of the facts have been changed/altered to suit the XMFC crew. No prior knowledge of Andromeda is needed.

Summary: Charles Xavier has pledged himself and his crew to helping Erik Lehnsherr achieve his vengeance against the Hel clan, ending the decades of tyranny that they have held over humans and mutants alike under the leadership of Sebastian Shaw. But first Charles must make sure their fragment of the legendary Engine of Creation doesn't fall into the wrong hands and he needs an old friend's help to do so. Still, with the Hel on their heels and Erik impatient for his revenge, Charles knows that every moment counts -- for him, for Erik, and for the Tri-Galaxy. Space AU, Powers, alpha/pack social dynamics. Sequel to Lightning in a Cloudless Sky; second fic in the "Engine of Creation" series.
